MRI is a technique widely used to diagnose herniated discs at any level of the spine, as well as other spinal pathologies.
The technician will place the patient stretched out on the stretcher face up and will accommodate the patient to make the test as comfortable as possible. The examination time is usually 15-20 minutes per region. No prior preparation is necessary, nor fasting, since contrast is rarely administered.
