Thanks to advanced techniques, we can study abdominal organs (liver, pancreas, etc.) as well as pelvic organs (uterus, ovary, prostate) with a high degree of hystologic differentiation, which with the support of tissue enhancement media (contrast) allow us to refine the diagnosis. It is possible that these studies require the injection of contrast, so it is advisable that the patient comes fasting. At some point during the test, the patient may be asked to perform apneas, all of them controlled and adapted to the patient's capacity.
These studies have an average duration of 20-30 minutes.
